Bottled water corporations masking world’s water crisis, say UN University officials

The world’s water crisis is being masked by the growing bottled water market, say a pair of officials from the Institute for Water, Environment and Health at United Nations University in a published report. Bottled water corporations are exploiting surface water and aquifers, they say, and selling their products for up to 1,000 times the cost of the same amount of tap water.
