June 16, 2021 – Chevrolet aims to make electric vehicle ownership easier for Canadians by covering the cost of the standard installation of a Level 2 (240V) charging home outlet for eligible customers who purchase or lease a new 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV or Bolt EV.

When you select the home installation option, Charged By Chevrolet provides eligible customers access to faster charging at home when paired with the new available dual-level charge cord, standard on the 2022 Bolt EUV and, soon, on the 2022 Bolt EV.

Owners can plug a compatible charging cord directly into a 240V home outlet, negating the need for a stand-alone charging station.

“This is another step to make EV ownership easier and more accessible to everyone,” said Laura Pacey, brand director of Chevrolet Canada. “We understand the ability to conveniently charge at home or on-the-go plays heavily into a customer’s decision to purchase an EV, and we’re providing the access to solutions to simplify the EV experience for all Canadians.”

When using the dual-level charge cord (240V, 32A), the 2022 Bolt EV achieves up to 41 km per hour of charge, Chevrolet reports, while the 2022 Bolt EUV achieves up to 40 km per hour of charge.

For eligible customers who already have Level 2 charging capability—or don’t require it—Chevrolet is offering a $750 FLO public charging credit.
