Propulsa Innovations announces two of its EPURA systems are being shipped to West Africa

SAGUENAY — On Aug. 20, the team at Propulsa Innovations, a company from Saguenay, announces that West Africa will soon receive two of its EPURA systems, a patented self-cleaning filtration technology that eliminates the need for filter changes on industrial equipment and purports to reduce adverse impacts on the environment. Two 15-inch EPURA filtration systems, the largest model currently offered by Propulsa Innovations, hit the road for the African continent on their way to an entrepreneur working in twelve countries who owns more than 7,000 mining vehicules. This is an opportunity for Propulsa Innovations to demonstrate its abilities and establish its reputation in the natural resources and mining market. Denis Dumais, Vice-President and Director of Innovation, said: “Filtration problems due to dust are extreme in Africa compared to Quebec and this breakthrough could really make our company’s growth soar”.

The EPURA technology is a filtration system that eliminates filter replacement while exceeding the performance of original filtration systems. This system, brought to life by developers from Saguenay Lac St-Jean, can be installed on operating cabins, on engine air intakes and many other industrial applications. Positioned upstream of the original air filter, this system filters over 99.73% of dust particles. Self-cleaning due to emitted vibrations, the EPURA system ensures the efficiency and durability of the filtration system. In addition to purportedly reducing the number of filter changes, the EPURA technology lowers fuel consumption which reduces the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere.
